Danos Receives National Award For Risk Management

Danos’ unrivaled commitment to safety has been recognized by the National Underwriter Property & Casualty magazine as this year’s Excellence in Workers’ Compensation Risk Management Award winner.

Each year, three organizations with exemplary loss control, safety and return-to-work programs are recognized by the NUPC's award program, sponsored by Helmsman Management Services. In winning this award, Danos joins the ranks of Fortune 500 corporate giants, such as Aramark, Nissan North America and Walt Disney Company.

Danos President and CEO Hank Danos said, “The results of our longstanding culture of safety are paying dividends with national recognition and more importantly, in reducing the number of accidents and the severity of injuries.”

Danos was said to stand out from the competition not only because of the company’s ability to produce a record number of incident reductions in what are often perilous conditions, but surpass fellow businesses in a state where total costs per workers’ compensation claim have been increasing on average 8-percent per year.

“Danos’ dedication to distinguishing itself not just in performance but as a leader in managing workers’ comp costs truly impressed us,” said Shawn Moynihan, executive managing editor of National Underwriter Property & Casualty. “For an organization whose stock-in-trade is its people, Danos clearly knows how to protect and maximize its greatest asset."
