Chloe Benoit: Boss for a Day

Last month we had a new boss at Danos headquarters in Gray—Chloe Benoit, granddaughter of Compliance Specialist Rick Keen. Rick won the “Boss for a Day” auction item in the Danos Foundation Online Auction, so Chloe was able to meet with Danos leadership and participate in their work activities for the day.
"My 'Boss for a Day' experience truly set the scale for how I want to operate any business in the future," said Chloe. "Throughout the day I had the opportunity to speak to several department heads, staff members, executives and owners where I quickly learned that what sets Danos apart from every other corporation is the company's values and way it treats employees. No one at Danos is just a number on paper, but everyone is truly like family and is valued like I have never seen in any other business. The employees take pride in what they do and who they work for which is why Danos is as successful as it is."
Chloe's favorite part of the day was learning the large role her grandfather plays at Danos.
"I am extremely proud of him, and I could not be happier that he works in an environment where he is valued and appreciated," she said.
Chloe is a freshman at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she is majoring in Biology with a concentration in allied health and minoring in business. After graduation, she plans to attend dental school and hopes to become an orthodontist and open her own practice.
"Through this experience, I learned that in order to run a successful business, one must stay true to their values and ensure that every employee has the same values," said Chloe.
