Coach of the Year Puts in the WORKS

Danos Recruiting Manager Damien S. Pierre now holds an additional title: Coach of the Year, presented by By-U Sports.
Damien is Golden Meadow Middle School’s head basketball coach, and he also serves his community as the South Lafourche Biddy Basketball President, as well as the Director of South Lafourche Flash travel basketball.
What does this award mean to him? St. Pierre said, “It’s truly a team and family award. Without the support from Danos, the administrators at Golden Meadow Middle School, my coaching staff, players, their family, and most importantly my wife and two daughters, it could not have been done. It’s awesome for our little community of Golden Meadow to be recognized.”
Some of Damien’s favorite things about coaching are, “instilling confidence in the kids, seeing them grow a love for the game and seeing them succeed. Family time in the gym with my wife and kids is another huge reason I coach."
Damien enjoys seeing his players succeed in life. He has even been able to hire one, Recruiter Trevor Rebstock. Having Trevor join the Danos team has been a proud moment for the coach.
Damien submitted WORKS hours for serving his community as biddy basketball president and travel basketball director. He admitted that he only recently learned how easy submitting his service hours was during a safety call. He missed out on more than four years of service hours that could have turned into generous monetary donations for his beloved organizations.
Damien now looks forward to the day when he will present a check to the Cut Off Youth Center (COYC) - $10 per every service hour he has completed.
“I know the daily challenges the COYC faces, so I can’t wait to surprise them with financial assistance thanks to Danos WORKS.”
Damien’s love of competition and passion for winning has made him not only coach of the year, but also a respected Danos coworker and servant of his Bayou community. Thank you for your service, and congratulations on the award, Coach.
