iCAN - Developing Competency

Each year, we renew our commitment to our people and the growth of our company through strategic priority initiatives. This year we focused on three, “Set the Standard,” “Employee Experience,” and “Transformational Growth.” A sub strategy that surfaced during strategy discussions is Competency Development. This strategy can be tied back to two of our priority initiatives, “Set the Standard” and “Employee Experience.”

Earlier this year, Danos Operations Manager Brady Hebert announced, “Over the past few years, we have developed great tools and processes for assessing the competencies of our field employees for the jobs that they are assigned. To improve on what we previously developed internally, we have partnered with iCAN.” This technology solution helps bridge the gap between the assessment findings and the development opportunities generated as a result of the findings.

This project started in March and was able to be fully implemented by the end of Q3 of 2022. As a result, we can capture valuable data from iCAN’s analytic tools. This data compares our workforce to the rest of the industry, assessment heat map reports show our workforces strongest and weakest skills and assign development plans that target specific training opportunities.

Our partnership with iCAN brings us closer to achieving our vision of setting the standard of operational excellence by which all other companies are measured. Moreover, this solution provides more detailed results, defining a clear path for career development with skill improvement fostering a greater employee experience.
