Making a difference though foundation events

The morning of February 14 wasn’t just a typical Monday. Several Danos employees opened their inboxes to find a Valentine ecard from fellow coworkers. For a $1 donation to the Danos Foundation, employees could send a custom ecard to their coworkers to show appreciation, and that’s exactly what they did. These Valentine ecards added a little something to an otherwise normal Monday and is a perfect example of how one small gesture can make a big impact.
On Wednesday, February 16, the Danos Foundation hosted its annual SOUPer Bowl fundraiser. For a $10 donation to the Danos Foundation, employees could taste the entries from the seven cooking teams and vote on their top two favorite soup dishes. This year’s event was a success as seven teams entered to win the coveted championship soup paddle. See all team names and entries below.

This year’s champion team, Team Sales, earned top votes from both the “People’s Choice” and “Mystery Judge” categories with their delicious seafood bisque. Sales representatives Chase Clement and Bubba Himel, and Sales Manager Mark King walked away with the championship soup paddle, event aprons and endless bragging rights.
Before announcing the winning team, Company Owner Hank Danos thanked everyone involved with the day saying, “The Danos Foundation is doing big and exciting things, so thank you for being a part of that.”
